TRICHOgold

TRICHOgold® - is a plant defence booster containing Trichoderma sp. Fungi.

It will protect the plants by actively acting as a fungal antagonist and mycoparasitisms to other pathogenic fungi.

It also protects the plant by establishing itself on the outside of the root in the rhizosphere.

It can grow along the entire length of the root system where it establishes a barrier against pathogen attack.

Collaboration with SIRIM Berhad

“Our Trichoderma patent was granted by MyIPO in 2012; Patent No. MY-146819-A”

MyAgri has participated with SIRIM in a European Union sponsored project -BIOWASTE4SP Turning biowaste into sustainable products.

Biowaste4SP - Project begin: 1st of October 2012. Project finish: 30th of September 2015

Danish Technological Institute is the coordinator and project manager at the large EU project, Biowaste4SP which is a project with the aim of transforming biomass waste to sustainable products as bioethanol, biogas, fertilizer, lactic acid, protein and amino acids in developing countries.

The task is to find the simplest and most effective ways to put this into practice in five African countries: Ghana, Morocco, South Africa, Kenya and Egypt.

Project partners:

  • DTI : Danish Technological Institute, Denmark

  • IVL - Swedish Environmental Research Institute

  • TUBITAK - The Scientific and Technological Council of TURKEY (TUBITAK), Marmara Research Center (MRC)

  • SIRIM Berhad, Malaysia

Bio-organic fertilizer trials:
"The final task for WP6 was to test the bioorganic fertilizer produced by Myagri, ARC and ETM on crops trial plots and in the field. Due to the delay in getting the microbes, ETM was not able to produce enough bioorganic fertilizer and start the trial on time. They have started a small-scale trial on vegetables and also distributed the bioorganic fertilizer to local communities to be used in their gardens. The farmers have given positive feedbacks on its use.

Myagri tested it on spinach planted in 100 plastic poly bags. The data collected has shown that the plants that were treated with the bioorganic fertilizers have significantly better growth; i.e. more biomass and more roots."
